Dear Brethren and Sisters
Loving greetings in the Hope of Israel.
The world has a 'lot' to offer in terms of instant
pleasures. Peoples' way of life are being changed
to focus on leisure time and achieving a state
of 'happiness'. Big corporates are channeling
their budgets to convince people that true benefits
can be achieved through self-gratification. The
satisfaction of instant fulfillment is being incorporated
into religion resulting in the popular beliefs
of instant salvation, immediate 'infallible' knowledge
and witchcraft. Many
are being deceived to partake of the many 'fun'
activities available, little knowing that they
are being led by blind leaders and both will fall
into the pit.
We as a body should constantly reaffirm our allegiance
to our Master and King. The enticements of our
modern, evil age war against the mind of Christ.
They are not only distractions but are great corrupters
of the Truth. If we dabble in these frivolous
activities we can only expect our straight path
to Jerusalem to be perverted. The Holy principles
which guide our feet become distorted and no longer
can we expect to remain steadfast. Those who join
the flow are swept away.
The
trials and temptations of today call for a greater
resolve to depart from evil and to be doers of
good. It is vitally important that we are not
only students of righteousness but also teachers.
As sin and false doctrines become more and more
subtle, it is essential that we increase the luminance
of our lights that others might see the emptiness
and waywardness of their ways. The only way to
do this is to read, read, read and listen to the
Wise Words of our God. Without God's guidance
how can we expect to help others? Without the
knowledge that is freely provided how are we to
understand and become discerners of what is good
and right?
Blessed
are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled. Matthew
5v6
'I
charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord
Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the
dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach
the word; be instant in season, out of season;
reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering
and doctrine.' 2
Timothy 4v1-2
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with
compassion on them, because they fainted, and
were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest
truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that
he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Matthew
9v36-38
I
pray you may find this cd of great spiritual benefit.
