- MAR 1:15
- And saying, The
time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye,
and believe the gospel.
- MAT 4:17
- From that time Jesus
began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven
is at hand.
- MAT 5:20-48
- For I say unto you,
That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness
of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the
kingdom of heaven. Ye have heard that it was said of them of old
time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in
danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is
angry with his brother Without a cause shall be in danger of the
judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall
be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool,
shall be in danger hell fire. Therefore if thou bring thy gift
to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought
against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy
way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer
thy gift. Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art
in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee
to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou
be cast into prison. Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no
means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt
not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh
on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her
already in his heart. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck
it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that
one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body
should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut
it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that
one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body
should be cast into hell. It hath been said, Whosoever shall put
away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: But
I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving
for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:
and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time,
Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord
thine oaths: But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by
heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his
footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great
King. Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst
not make one hair white or black. But let your communication be,
Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of
evil. Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye,
and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not
evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn
to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law,
and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. And whosoever
shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. Give to him
that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn
not thou away. Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt
love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you,
Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them
that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and
persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which
is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on
the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For
if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even
the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what
do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore
perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
- JOH 10:36
- Say ye of him, whom
the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest;
because I said, I am the Son of God?
- JOH 9:35
- Jesus heard that
they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto
him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
- JOH 11:27
- She saith unto him,
Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God,
which should come into the world.
- JOH 19:21
- Then said the chief
priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews;
but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
- JOH 1:49
- Nathanael answered
and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the
King of Israel.
- MAT 27:11-43
- And Jesus stood
before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou
the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest. And
when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered
nothing. Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many
things they witness against thee? And he answered him to never
a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly. Now at that
feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner,
whom they would. And they had then a notable prisoner, called
Barabbas. Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said
unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or
Jesus which is called Christ? For he knew that for envy they had
delivered him. When he was set down on the judgment seat, his
wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that
just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream
because of him. But the chief priests and elders persuaded the
multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. The
governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will
ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. Pilate saith
unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?
They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. And the governor
said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more,
saying, Let him be crucified. When Pilate saw that he could prevail
nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and
washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of
the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all
the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged
Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. Then the soldiers of
the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto
him the whole band of soldiers. And they stripped him, and put
on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns,
they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they
bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King
of the Jews! And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote
him on the head. And after that they had mocked him, they took
the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led
him away to crucify him. And as they came out, they found a man
of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.
And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is
to say, a place of a skull, They gave him vinegar to drink mingled
with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.
And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots:
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They
parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast
lots. And sitting down they watched him there; And set up over
his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE
JEWS. Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the
right hand, and another on the left. And they that passed by reviled
him, wagging their heads, And saying, Thou that destroyest the
temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be
the Son of God, come down from the cross. Likewise also the chief
priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, He saved
others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let
him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. He
trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him:
for he said, I am the Son of God.
- JOH 10:24-25
- Then came the Jews
round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us
to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered
them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in
my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
- MAT 19:28
- And Jesus said unto
them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in
the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of
his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the
twelve tribes of Israel.
- MAT 21:42-43
- Jesus saith unto
them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the
builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner:
this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Therefore
say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and
given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
- MAT 23:38-39
- Behold, your house
is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see
me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in
the name of the Lord.
- LUK 4:43
- And he said unto
them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for
therefore am I sent.
- LUK 13:27-30
- But he shall say,
I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all
ye workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of
teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all
the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrown
out. And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and
from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the
kingdom of God. And, behold, there are last which shall be first,
and there are first which shall be last.
- LUK 19:11-27
- And as they heard
these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh
to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God
should immediately appear. He said therefore, A certain nobleman
went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and
to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them
ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. But his citizens
hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have
this man to reign over us. And it came to pass, that when he was
returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these
servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money,
that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. Then
came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast
been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five
pounds. And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which
I have kept laid up in a napkin: For I feared thee, because thou
art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down,
and reapest that thou didst not sow. And he saith unto him, Out
of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou
knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down,
and reaping that I did not sow: Wherefore then gavest not though
my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required
mine own with usury? And he said unto them that stood by, Take
from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. (And
they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) For I say unto
you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him
that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over
them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
- LUK 22:28-30
- Ye are they which
have continued with me in my temptations. And I appoint unto you
a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; That ye may eat
and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging
the twelve tribes of Israel.
- MAT 5:17
- Think not that I
am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to
destroy, but to fulfil.
- LUK 24:44
- And he said unto
them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was
yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written
in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning
me.
